Service was warm and inviting. We both had burgers, and the size was generous. We each had a side of fries and they were ok, but the burger was really good. My wife took half of it home

Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you! Inside you'll find freshly-made food and great service! (Thank you, Amanda!) The cornmeal breading on my catfish was tasty, hot, and crispy. The coleslaw was crunchy and delicious (I'm picky about my coleslaw). And my onion rings were toasty and delightful! DH had the Hart Burger (Hart County, that is) -- it was huge, and he was thrilled with it. We're so glad we stopped by, and we'll definitely be back!

Not sure what to think. The food was good, really good. We both ordered burgers with onion rings and both were excellent. The server was also fine. But there were a few issues. We were given two menus that each had different prices. I asked which one is correct and the server said "neither". She said the correct prices were on a white board at the entrance. We then waited 50 minutes for the burgers when the restaurant was mostly empty. When the food finally came, one order had only two onion rings. They said more would be made. We finished our burgers and waited and finally they showed up. For me, a great meal was diminished by super slow service, two incorrect menus and the extraordinary amount of time it took to get food.

Kass was a great server and accommodated our big family of 7. Food was delicious and fresh! Fried pickles were perfect and onion rings were the best!

We stopped by during a trip to Mammoth Cave. Amanda, our server, was so friendly. She was quick to give a recommendation between two items. Two of us got Jessie’s Melt, and one got The Big Tex. We also got fried okra, onion rings, fried mushrooms, and fries. Husband said the onion rings were the best he’s ever had. The batter stayed on the rings, it was light and crispy, and well seasoned. Not at all greasy. I loved the mushrooms but husband thought they were a tad salty. They were cut into pieces so you didn’t have them explode in molten hot lava in your mouth when you took a bite. Both sandwiches were really tasty and very filling. Overall friendly place with filling food.

Some great home cooked comfort food and even better service and hospitality. There’s a small arcade area for the kids and the dining area is comfortable for families. We were treated with kindness and the food was excellent. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic home style cooking in generous portions for great prices. Gotta try the hot ham or chicken fried steak. Fun little game room arcade out back to entertain the kiddos while waiting for the fresh to order cooked food. Worth a stop while in Horse Cave City.
